The Amma Shop at New Living Expo 2008
| The Amma Shop attended the Annual New Living Expo at the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco on April 25-27,2008. This three-day weekend Expo featured the largest and most progressive gathering of the foremost authorities, captivating speakers, and leading-edge thinkers and innovators of our time. |
| At the event, The Amma Shop hosted a booth serving delicious Indian Vegetarian Food. All proceeds from the booth sales went to support Amma's numerous charitable activities. The food served at the booth was sponsored by Madras Indian Cuisine and Mirch Masala Grocery , San Ramon, CA. |

When Amma adopts a village, she gives the people there everything she possibly can: food, shelter, medicine, education, jobs & most importantly love.
The villagers of Samanthampettai were both excited and in tears on seeing Amma during her visit to their village. Amma is building homes for the tsunami victims in the area. They thanked Amma for coming and blessing their village. Amma told them, "There is no need to thank Amma. Amma is not a guest. Amma is a member of your family."
