This CD contains the rare live recording of
Mahisasuramardini Stotram sung by Amma herself. Very moving and rhythmic, this chant is sung every day in the morning at Amma's spiritual centers. Also called Ayi Giri Nandini, this chant was composed by the great sage Adi Shankaracharya a long time ago around 810AD. This is sung in praise of the Divine Mother, and describes the way She destroyed many demons, which symbolize the negativities within us.
