This CD contains the rare live recording of Mahisasuramardini Stotram sung by Amma herself. Very moving and rhythmic, this chant is sung every day in the morning at Amma's spiritual centers. Also called Ayi Giri Nandini, this chant was composed by the great sage Adi Shankaracharya a long time ago around 810AD. This is sung in praise of the Divine Mother, and describes the way She destroyed many demons, which symbolize the negativities within us.

Also contained in the CD are the: Guru Stotram - a part of the Guru Gita, an ancient volume of verses in prasie of the Guru, Na Karmanana - Chant taken from declaration of the Upanishads, which means "Neither by ritual, nor by progeny, nor by riches but by renunciation alone, one can attain immortality, Dhyana Sloka & 108 Names of Amma - Composed by a renowned poet of Kerala, the 108 Names of Mata Amritanandamayi are truly seeds of devotion, and chanting these every day is an ideal way to remember Amma and feel the peace and joy of her presence.
