Sri Lalita Sahasranama:
The Archana (Chanting) Book

The Sri Lalita Sahasranama, conveniently transliterated here for English speakers, is an ancient and sacred hymn to the Divine Mother that is said to bring many blessings to ourselves as well as to the world. Amma recommends that we chant this hymn daily, and she says of it, "Devi will always protect those who chant the Lalita Sahasranama with devotion each day." Chanting this Sahasranama brings prosperity to one's self and family, and it purifies, protects and brings quick and tremendous spiritual advancement. As Professor P.K. Dev remarks "The Lalita Sahasranama is the golden chain that links the material and the spiritual realms." In addition to this beautiful chant, this booklet also includes various prayers and sacred mantras, as well as a manasa puja, or mental worship of the Divine Mother composed by Amma herself. Also includes the 108 names of Amma.

Although the chant may seem difficult, it is very easy to begin with a little practice. A very helpful learning tool is the Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam CD or tape which allows you to hear and repeat the chant properly insuring that the power of the mantras is preserved.
